Carlos Cox - Camera Man I was born in Barbados and grew up in St. George, yes, one of two parishes on the island without beach. So guess what, I am not a good swimmer! When I left school, I wanted to study Engineering. But when I signed up for the class it was full, so I decided to wait a year at home. While waiting, I took a job at ICVS (a video production company) and the boss, Mr. Callender, took me under his wing. When that year was up, I had reached a crossroad. Decision time…and I chose television and video production to be the Career of my Life! I love working with Roamin’ because the show brings out the best in my camera skills. I also love the hype vibes in most locations from people of all walks of life, whenever Roamin’ TV is in the building! My most memorable moment with Roamin’ to date was Jouvert Morning, Vincy Mas 2k8 in St. Vincent when I had the opportunity to not only see how Vincentians partied in the streets to the hit song, “Head Bad,” but also party and work with them to one of my favourite soca tracks of all times. Otherwise, my family is my life along with my job. One day I hope to have a school where I can help take some of the guys off the block.
