Keann Walters – Host/VJ

I wear many hats! And I am always looking for a new business ventures to ad to my plate. A soca artist by profession, singer, entertainer, entrepreneur, and a television host. One of the Roamin’ hosts to be exact!

Whenever I recall how I landed the spot on Roamin’, I laugh, and this is the story: While attending a radio interview to talk about my music, I saw a poster promoting Roamin’s VJ competition, “the next Roamin’ host.” I asked about it (and knowing that broadcasting was on my next thing to do list) I immediately said, “What, this job is mine!”

I had always watched Roamin’ and was a huge fan. Whenever it aired I was sure to be watching. When the big audition day arrived, I was the first at the venue, first to do an interview and after going through to the next round, I was feeling very confident of a win and as they say,” the rest was history”!

I am a former student of the St. Leonard’s girls Secondary School, now Lester Vaughn Secondary School. And I also graduated with an Associate Degree in Mass Communications – Broadcasting from the Barbados Community College.

A down-to-earth person by nature, I can relate and talk to anyone, and I try to fill my life with diversity and possibilities. Singing is another love of mine, and I have entertained thousands by traveling the world over with some of Barbados’ biggest bands, including Krosfyah and Square One, and have shared stages with the likes of Machel Montano, Fayann Lyons, and many more. I am also a two-time Barbados Music Award (BMA) winner.

I am a fanatic animal lover, and one of my biggest passions is food. I really love to cook and own scores of cookbooks from all around the world. Traveling, watching television, and shopping are my other passions, and shopping has led me to be an entrepreneur opening Celebrity Babes Boutique back in 2007, which caters to the fashion needs of females between the ages of 19 to early 30s.
